About Freedom Line

How Freedom Line started

With one family’s case in 2001. Here’s the rest, how we work and who leads us.

Our story

It started with one case

In 2001, Esther, a young lawyer, took the case of a family who had worked for years at a brick kiln to pay off a debt that kept growing. Getting them out took two years. Getting the kiln owner convicted took four.

Today about two hundred lawyers, investigators and social workers work with police, courts and local churches in six regions. Most are from the countries they work in, and most found us through their own church.

What guides us

How we work

01

Faith

God cares about justice, so we do too (Micah 6:8).

02

Partnership

We work alongside local police and courts.

03

Survivor-centred

Survivors lead their own recovery, and the church walks with them.

04

Evidence

We check honestly whether it’s working.

05

Perseverance

We stay for years, not months.

06

Integrity

Every gift is given to God first, so we handle it carefully.

Financial integrity

Where your gift goes

We are audited every year by an independent firm.
